I have spent a lifetime driving around our county, and now that I am retired I find myself doing it just for my own enjoyment. I took a drive today throught the beautiful wine country of Paso Robles, and realized something that has eluded me for years. What makes the north county so special is actually just the sum of all its parts. With spring here the weather was fantastic and the grapes are just begining to leaf out. The green of our gentle rolling hills and the blue of the sky were absolutely stunning. I can’t believe that it has taken me a lifetime of driving around our county to realize that it is an absolutely one of a kind place. I think if you were to remove any one part of it, you would be left with something much different. It is a combination of the sights and sounds and friendly faces that we see here everyday that make it amazing. I just wanted to take a moment to pass along what to me seemed like the realization of a lifetime. We are living in paradise!
