These rising temps can only mean one thing: Summer is finally here! And with it all the exciting wine country adventures, activities, and events you’ve been waiting for all year long. Whether you want to chill at the lake or party at the Mid-State Fair, we’ve got your summer fun covered!

CALIFORNIA MID-STATE FAIR

California Mid-State Fair

“America’s Favorite Fair” returns to the Paso Robles Event Center, located just steps from the Adelaide Inn. The 12-day event promises to delight and excite kids of all ages with popular acts and entertainers, high-flying rides and amazing exhibits. Plus all the food, drinks and shopping you can handle.

“Come One, Come All,” is this year’s theme and with headliners like Garth Brooks with Trisha Yearwood, that’s not just a suggestion, it’s a requirement! Although both of Garth’s shows are sold out, there are still plenty of tickets available to crowd-pleasing acts at the Chumash Grandstand Arena. This year’s Bud Light Concert series includes top entertainers including Keith Urban, John Mayer and The Chainsmokers. Plus family-friendly thrills and chills at the Country Rodeo Finals, Fiesta Dela Charro and fan favorite, Tractor and Truck Pull. Click here for a full schedule and tickets to these events.

For the kids, new attractions and activities are sure to keep them thrilled and engaged. Is your tiny tot ready for a challenge? It’s not too late to get them in shape for the fun-filled Diaper Dash competition. For your critter-lovers, the Farm Fresh Kids exhibit, Petting Zoo and pony rides offer hands-on, interactive experiences that are both educational and entertaining. RAVINE WATERPARK
Open Daily in July | 2301 Airport Rd., Paso Robles

Take a wild ride down multiple drops on Thunder Run, plunge 300 feet on the Quadzilla, or twist and turn down open flume slides on the Anaconda & Viper tube ride. LAKE NACIMIENTO RESORT

Get away from it all at beautiful Lake Nacimiento located about 15 minutes from the Adelaide Inn. After a scenic, country drive where you may spot a variety of wildlife including deer, elk, wild pigs, and even bald eagles, you’ll be treated to a day of cooling off in the waters of the nearly full lake.

No boat? No problem! Lake Nacimiento offers boat rentals at full and half-day rates, as well as paddleboards, tubes, water skis, kayaks, wakeboards and kneeboards at hourly and daily rates. Fishing supplies are also available at the marina store.

When you’re ready for a break, come back to shore for a bite to eat at the Dragon Lake Grill.
