«Return to Blog List The Up-And-Coming Craft Beer and Cider Scene in Paso Robles

Paso Robles may be known as a burgeoning wine region, but there’s another side of the beverage. Cideries and craft breweries in Paso Robles are creating a buzz in and around the area. After a day or two of Paso Robles wine tasting, we’d suggest checking out these award-winning craft breweries and cider makers, many of which offer inviting tasting rooms and live music.

Silva Brewing

From barrel-aged specialty brews to crisp, traditional styles of lager, Silva Brewing specializes in a variety of small-batch offerings. Founded by husband and wife team, Chuck and MJ Silva, the tasting room has 10 taps, as well as beers to go and refillable stainless steel growlers. For a true taste of the Central Coast, try one of their specialty beers infused with locally-grown ingredients.

Barrelhouse Brewing Co.

Barrelhouse was established in 2013 to bring together “good people, good times and great beer.” They’ve stayed true to their mission. They offer a variety of tasty, small-batch brews at three locations, the most popular of which is their Paso Robles Brewery and Beer Garden in Tin City. Here, enjoy brewery tours, the large outdoor space, a rotating selection of energetic bands and a lively atmosphere.

Earth & Fire Brewing Company

After their experience in the wine industry and home-brewing, Earth & Fire owners Nick Vega and Nolan Mott have realized their dream of opening a craft brewery in the heart of Paso Robles. From Saison and Blonde to IPA and other styles of beer, everything is brewed in-house using only the best ingredients.

The Pour House

On Pine Street in Paso Robles, The Pour House tap room offers an alternative to Paso Robles wine tasting. From happy hours and trivia nights to a community vinyl exchange and local music acts, The Pour House is a great place to sip on American lagers, local and regional stouts and pale ales. They also serve a variety of ciders and meads in their casual, laid-back atmosphere.

Bristols Cider House

Bristols Cider in Atascadero is a cider pub that is part of the Lone Madrone Winery. It’s owned and operated by brother and sister Neil and Jackie and named after the town of Bristol where the two grew up in England. Here you’ll find artisan, seasonal ciders on tap, enjoyed alongside food specials and live music.

Tin City Cider Company

Tin City Cider Company is a collaboration between three winemakers who wanted to craft delicious, dry hopped and barrel fermented cider. The tasting room is open daily and located in the up-and-coming Tin City area of Paso Robles. Here you’ll find their popular canned ciders made from California apples. They even offer one cider blended with rosé wine!

While one shouldn’t miss out on wine tasting in Paso Robles, these noteworthy breweries and cideries are certainly worth a visit and make for a fun experience while staying in Paso Robles. The Adelaide Inn, located in the heart of Paso Robles Wine Country near some of the area’s best wineries and breweries, is the perfect place to stay for a memorable Paso Robles vacation.
